About Strange Days

I’m not an expert in metaphysics, the paranormal or synchronicities. Unlike others who write on these topics, I really have no idea what’s going on. What I do know is that non-ordinary reality is real. My best guess is that there is a paranormal river that we can tap into if we treat this topic with reverence. For example:

For three years I wrote an interactive column for the Arizona Republic newspaper called Offramp that primarily focused on reader synchronicities. The longer I wrote this column the more synchronicities I experienced. But it didn’t stop there. This anomalous energy spread. Newsroom reporters sitting in cubicles near me also began to have odd things happen to them such as odds-defying coincidences.

This is reminiscent of what commonly happens when people keep a dream diary. Writing down your dream as soon as you wake up inevitably leads to more lucid dreaming – dreaming that can even be used to help solve problems in ordinary reality.

For those who think it’s a bunch of crap, all I can say is I’d probably feel the same way if I hadn’t personally experienced non-ordinary phenomena. Skepticism is good. However, coming face to face with a ghost or watching glowing orbs hover in the sky, or encountering 11’s repeatedly tends to change your perspective on things.

But Strange Days isn’t about me. It’s about you, the reader. As with my Offramp column, I want this blog to be interactive. I want to hear about your strange days, oddities in your life that are so freakish they send a shiver up your spine.

Who knows, with enough comments, feedback and actual reports of non-ordinary experiences, maybe we can start figuring this out together. At the very least, Strange Days: The Blog can help awaken that mysterious duality of existence that so often becomes suppressed in a culture that emphasizes monetization above all else.
